Calisthenics progression chart
22 ladders on one scale
A ladder takes one kind of move from easy to hard, like push-ups from the wall to one arm. All 22 share one scale of 14 steps in 7 colours, so a colour means the same class of feat on every ladder.
Fig.The scale
14 steps in 7 colours
Each colour holds 2 steps, from Starter grey to Artifact gold. A ladder starts where its first move fits: Push at step 1, Pull-up at step 4 and Handstand at step 6.
- Starter grey
- Common white
- Uncommon green
- Rare blue
- Epic purple
- Legendary orange
- Artifact gold
Orange starts at step 11. It is set by a handstand push-up with no wall: Handstand step 11, Handstand push-up.
Gold, steps 13 and 14, holds the top skills:
- One-arm push-up, feet together
- Straddle planche
- One-arm lowering
- One-arm pull-up
- Front lever
- Standing rollout
- Human flag

Every ladder, step by step
One row per ladder. Each step shows its main move and its range: the reps or seconds (s) that move runs from and to. On a move for each side, you count your weaker side.
Goal pose: a stretch or yoga step, with no count. Timed and 30-s count: cardio steps.

Fig.How a step opens
How the next step opens
Every count is your own: you type it, and no one checks it. Each set asks for just past your recent best, so your count climbs a little at a time.
- Strength and holds. Reach the top of the main move's range on 2 days, and the next step opens. It stays open unless you start the ladder over.
- Moves in between. Some steps also ask for one or two more moves at their top first. Most of them open once the move before them reaches its top. The push and row pages show them step by step.
- Tendon-heavy steps. The climb to each of these takes 3 days at the top: Flat-back tuck planche, Straddle planche, One-arm lowering, One-arm pull-up, Flat-back front-lever row, Front lever, Full Nordic curl, Muscle-up, One-leg flag, Straddle flag and Human flag.
- Orange and gold. The climb opens the step. Then one fresh set at the low end of its range earns its colour. A set is fresh after a night's sleep.
- Stretch and yoga. These steps have no count. Hold a goal pose of your step for its full time, then rate how close you got. Good or better on 3 days opens the next step, with at least 1 day on the step's main pose and 1 day rated Perfect. Before some harder poses, such as a balance or a head-down pose, only Perfect counts, and 2 of the days are on the main pose.
- Cardio. On steps 1 to 4, the next step opens after 2 full moves. From step 5, the main moves are a 30-s count. The climb needs clean days, days you kept your form to the end: 3 from step 5, 4 from step 6, 5 from step 8 and 6 from step 10. Then one clean count of a move from the step above opens it.
- Ladders that open later. Handstand opens at a Push-up record of 15. Planche opens at a Push-up record of 10 and Wrist lean at the desk rated Perfect. Power opens at Cardio step 5.
- Other ladders. A few steps wait for a step on another ladder. The climb to the pistol squat waits for Ankles and squat step 6.
Fig.The gear
What each step needs
The main moves of 131 of the 161 steps need no gear. On some steps, another move can stand in when you lack the gear. The row page shows how. These main moves need some:

- Towel and door Row steps 6, 7 and 8
- Pull-up bar, rings or straps Row steps 10, 11 and 13
- Stable chair (no wheels, or a sofa) Hinge steps 8, 9, 10 and 11
- Fixed pull-up bar (not a doorway bar) Power steps 8, 9, 10 and 12
- Step or box Power step 10
- Ab wheel Core steps 12 and 13
- A pole outdoors (a steel post fixed in the ground) Side core steps 10, 11, 12 and 13

Get every ladder as one JSON file: each step with its colour, its move, its range and its gear. It comes from the same data the game and the apps use.

Climb them while you play
QuestPump is a free add-on for World of Warcraft: Forever. Each quest you turn in asks for a pump: a few push-ups, squats, stretches or yoga moves beside your desk. You type your count, and your records climb these ladders.
