Questions players ask

Every quest you turn in asks for a pump: a few push-ups, squats, stretches or yoga moves beside your desk. Here is what players ask about it, with short answers.

Playing

Can this get me banned?

We can't speak for the game's maker. The add-on uses the game's own add-on interface, like any add-on. QuestPump on your computer never presses a key and never reads the game's memory. It reads only a small row of coloured squares the add-on shows in a corner of the game window, and the add-on's own save file.

Does every quest ask for a pump?

Yes, every quest. Even the ten boars. A small quest asks for one move, a big one for a circuit of three. Turn in a whole hub at once, and the pump gets bigger.

What if I'm in a dungeon?

The boss comes first. The pump waits until the fight is over. In a dungeon or a raid, its moves stay unfinished and join your next pump. Skip any unfinished move with one click: it earns nothing and costs nothing.

Want pumps inside dungeons too? Type /qp instances on.

I play with friends. Then what?

Your first quest with friends who don't run QuestPump asks once: Bank all, or Pause while grouped. Bank all keeps the moves for later. Pause while grouped makes your quests cost nothing while you play together.

Friends who run QuestPump can cheer, make pacts and duel. No leaderboards.

Will it slow my levelling?

A little: each turn-in adds a short pump. Set Moves per quest to Light for one move a quest. Busy? Bank it with one click, and its moves join your next pump.

Will it nag me?

In the game, a pump opens only when you turn in a quest, or when you ask for one. Pause for an hour, 4 hours, until 4 a.m. or until you turn it back on, and your quests cost nothing in the meantime. The phone app's reminders are yours to set, or to turn off.

Your body

I can't do one push-up. Can I still play?

Yes. Push-ups start against your desk, and the wall push-up sits one step below. Your first set of each move is your first record, whatever the count. Can't do a move? Press Easier version.

Can I pick my moves, and keep it quiet?

Yes. Switch off any move, or a whole group. Tell it your gear, your space and whether you can use the floor. Turn on Quiet mode or No jumping for a flat, an office or a late night.

Can I just type any number?

Yes. You type your count, and no one checks it. It's your record. XP comes for each move, never for each rep: a new record adds a small bonus, and a bigger number earns nothing more. A count far above or far below your record asks once: Is that right?

Something hurts. What do I do?

Stop. Under Pause, pick Something hurts and the joint, and your pumps leave out the moves that use it. If you feel unwell, pick I feel unwell and pause until 4 a.m.: every pump stops, in the game and the two apps, until 4 a.m. Read Safety for more.

The two apps

Do I need the two apps?

They are strongly recommended, and free. The add-on alone runs every pump, with records, XP and your character sheet. The two apps add a countdown on your wrist during a play session and catch-up pumps for unfinished moves. No watch? The phone counts down instead. On days you don't play, the phone app runs pumps without the game.

Will the beta keep my progress?

Only with a copy. The Forever beta forgets add-on saves. QuestPump on your computer keeps a copy, and the add-on reads it at your next login. Without it, type /qp export for a string of your progress, and /qp import to bring it back.

How do I remove it?

The add-on: remove it in CurseForge or Wago, or delete its folders from AddOns. QuestPump on your computer: on Windows, remove it under Settings, Apps; on a Mac, quit it and move it to the Bin. The phone app: delete it like any app.

Cost and data

Is it free?

Yes. The add-on, QuestPump on your computer and the phone app are free, with no account and no ads. The phone app also sells extras, listed on its page. Nothing paid reaches the game. The add-on and QuestPump on your computer are open source (MIT), published with the first release.

What do you do with my data?

Your data stays on your devices, unless you choose to send it. If you sync, your pumps also sit in your own iCloud or Google Drive. This site sets no cookies. Read Privacy for the details.
