Free on WindowsExercise between matches
Exercise after each Counter-Strike 2 match
When a Counter-Strike 2 match ends, QuestPump on your computer offers a pump: a few squats, core moves or stretches beside your desk. While the game runs, your arms rest.
Fig.At the end
After the scoreboard, your pump
Counter-Strike 2 tells QuestPump on your computer each phase of a match: warmup, live and game over. Three seconds after game over, while you still see the scoreboard, the pump opens. No move starts until you press Start.
- Nothing opens while a match runs: not between rounds, and not at the half.
- The match counts from its warmup to game over. Time in the menus or the queue does not count.
- One pump for each match, when it ends: never one for each round or each death.
- Next match already? Press Bank all. The moves wait for your next pump.
- Turn off Open the pump after each match, and a small card in the corner asks instead. It never takes your keys, and it goes after 10 minutes.
- Want no offers for a while? Pause them for an hour, for 4 hours or while the game runs.
Fig.Set it up
Set it up once
It takes a few taps on your Windows PC, and you start the game once more.
Get QuestPump for Mac and Windows and open it. It runs on Windows 10 (22H2) or 11, 64-bit.
Open its Games tab. It finds Counter-Strike 2 in your Steam library by itself. Until you set it up, a pump comes when you close the game.
Tap Counter-Strike 2, then tap Ask after each match.
Does Windows keep the game's folder closed? Then tapAllow writing to its folder. Windows asks you once.
Start Counter-Strike 2 again. It reads the new file only as it starts.
The one file it adds
Ask after each match puts one small file in the game's own folder, game\csgo\cfg. Its name is gamestate_integration_questpump.cfg. This is Valve's own Game State Integration.
The file asks the game for one part of its state, the map. The game sends it to your own computer alone, at 127.0.0.1, with a random code, so QuestPump listens to your game and no other. Of the map, QuestPump reads only the phase.
To take the file away, turn Counter-Strike 2 off in the Games tab. If you uninstall QuestPump on your computer, the file goes too.
Fig.What it reads
The phase, and nothing more
Each message from the game is read for its code and its phase. Then it is dropped.
It never reads
- Your kills, deaths, rounds, score or who won.
- The match's id, your Steam ID or your player name.
- The game's memory.
It never does
- It never presses a key or sends a command to the game.
- It never talks to the game's servers.
- It never puts a file in the game's folder before you ask.
Fig.By mode
A long match, a bigger pump
The match's own minutes size the pump, one step every 12 minutes. Under 18 minutes is Light, 18 to 29 is Balanced, and 30 or more is Extreme.
| Mode | A match | Size | Moves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premier, Competitive | 35-38 min | Extreme | 3 |
| Wingman, Casual | 10-25 min | Light or Balanced | 1-3 |
- A match must run 2 minutes to ask. Under 5 minutes, it asks for one move.
- Moves per match sits in the Games tab. It starts at Balanced. Pick Light for one move each match, or Extreme for one more.
- A strength move's goal is just past your recent best. A miss costs nothing.
Fig.Your arms
Your arms rest while it runs
Counter-Strike 2's window in the Games tab has one more switch: Rest your arms while it runs. It is on until you turn it off.
Is the game still open as the pump starts? Then the pump leaves out push-ups, pull moves and every move that loads your wrists, elbows or shoulders. That leaves legs, core, cardio and stretches.
Close the game first, and you get a full pump. An arm move left unfinished waits for a later pump.

You might ask
Does it work on a Mac?
Not with Counter-Strike 2: QuestPump on your computer hears it on Windows only. On a Mac it works with Dota 2, and it can offer a pump when you close another game.
Can this get me banned?
We can't speak for Valve. Game State Integration is Valve's own way to tell a program about a match. QuestPump on your computer never presses a key, never reads the game's memory and never talks to the game's servers.
Do I need World of Warcraft?
No. QuestPump on your computer runs the pump on your own screen, with your records and your moves. The add-on is only for World of Warcraft players.
Does it cost anything?
No. QuestPump on your computer is free, and so is every pump.
